Energy Ministry says to cut staff by 5% in January

MOSCOW, Dec 31 (PRIME) -- The Russian Energy Ministry will close three departments and cut 5% of staff from January 1, the ministry said in a statement Thursday.

On Tuesday, the government ordered the ministry to cut the number of deputy ministers to five from seven.

The ministry said that it will close the project management, corporate policies and property relations and payment discipline monitoring departments.
